What 12 bucks can get you on the net.

You know the drill, there is that little thing you need to get your devices connected, either you miss the Serial Port from your old pc, and only have USB now...or need to get your laptop data over to another one...
And then you go to your local hardware store, where they charge overprices for something as measly as a plug-to-plug converter, usually setting you back 20-40 bucks for something that cost a dollar to produce. Where has the business honor gone?
You can get a DVD player for that price, yet they have the audacity to charge the same for two plugs? Doesn't make sense.
Thank godness for the internet!
What you see in the image above, I ordered from a "rebel" company in china dealing with customers directly (like you and me), and doesn't really charge more than it cost, heck...I can't even understand how they can afford the shipping charges, here in Denmark, it'd cost TWICE as much as the goods themselves just to SHIP them to the other side of the planet.
What I got for 12 dollars was:
- An RS 232 to USB converter
- An USB cable
- Driver Disk
- Two IDE to Compact Flash adapters (DIY SSD for the portables!)
- A micro USB micro-SD card reader
- A 3.5" to 2.5" IDE drive adapter (to put software on the portables
the easy way, good for old portables that needs new life!)
- An USB sound card for my Ubuntu 64 bit computer that is actually compatible with Linux.
And the shipping was included!
Way to go china! ;)
